This week's Music Monday is "I Love Myself Today" by Bif Naked.
I was recently asked "why do you have a blog?" My best answer was "because it is something I like to do." One of the things about me that is slowly changing is that I don't really talk about some of the stuff I blog about. I have gotten better about that but mostly I try and act as if I have no problems and I am bulletproof and very confident. The truth is that I do have problems and I am not bulletproof and at times have zero confidence. Things that I don't like to talk about.
However, when I can share these things through my blog I don't have to say them. I can type them and if someone reads them it is ok. I can't really explain it. For some reason it just comes easier for me to do it this way. Someone once said "it gets the crazy out." Which I thought was a funny way to put it. But I like the fact that I can share these things about me and maybe someone can relate to them.
One of the things that motivated me to do this whole blog thing was reading other people's blogs. It amazes me how many people go through the same things as me and like to write about some of the things I like to write about. Most of the blogs I have found through Twitter. I have found a lot of them from people I follow and some from people that they follow.
If you look over to the side of the page you will see a list of blogs I follow on Blogger. There are good ones on Wordpress also. Other people that I follow have their own website. There really are a lot of great writers out there. Here are a few:
Yoga Lifeway A friend of mine that relates her yoga practice to her life's happenings.
Living in the (k)now An amazing writer that has inspired me to be more honest and have courage.
Moon Fairy Life and Dreams I admire the fact that she can pour her heart into her writing.
Jack Sh*t A humorous blog about weight loss. Very funny and motivating.
Fat Girl vs. World Very inspiring and motivating blogger. A great blog to follow.
Runner Dude Great tips for everything that has to do with running.
Bald Guy Running A very good blog by a runner that I relate to well.
Workout Nirvana A quote from her page "Where being strong is a lifestyle" says it all.
So if you get a chance check these amazing people out. As for the song I picked, it is dedicated to these bloggers that don't mind sharing their weaknesses but also are not giving up on themselves. The song just kinda says that what brought me down before is gone and I'm gonna be happy because "I love myself today." They are motivated and inspired. And they help give me the courage to put myself out there a little more each time. Thank you!
Enjoy!
